Two visiting professors from Beijing Foreign Studies University will be offering Mandarin classes under the auspices of the Confucius Institute at University of Hawaii at Manoa
(CI-UHM), to members of the University and local community.
Two top quality visiting professors from Beijing Foreign Studies University will be offering Mandarin classes at the Confucius Institute, University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM-CI) to members of Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
Duration of the course: 10 weeks, 2 hours per class, once a week
Location: MMoore Hall Room 254, University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Parking: $3 on Saturdays; free on Sundays
Class I. Mandarin for Daily Life (for Novice level students)
Professor: Chuanlu Zhu
Time: Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (2/16/08 to 4/19/08)
Text Book: Experiencing Chinese: Living in China – Daily Chinese 100 (Higher Education Press, Beijing, China)
Class II. Mandarin for Business Communication (for Beginning- / Intermediate-level students. Pre-requisite: at least one year of Mandarin)
Professor: Meiping Zhu
Time: Sundays, 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (2/17/08 to 4/20/08)
Text Book: Experiencing Chinese: Business Communication in China (Higher Education Press, Beijing, China)
Class Fee: $100 (includes tuition and textbook & teaching materials)
No refund after second week of class.
Minimum 5 students to start each class; maximum 20 students
