Chinese Language Teacher Education Program

To meet the high demand of teaching Chinese language in Hawai'i and in the U.S., the College of Education at the University of Hawai'i proudly offers the new Chinese Language Teacher Education program (CLTE). This teacher licensure program will be under the existing Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Secondary Education and brings expertise from the Center for Chinese Studies (CCS, with its Confucius Institute) in the School of Pacific and Asian Studies (SPAS) and the Department of East Asian Languages & Literature (EALL) and Second Language Studies (SLS), both in the College of Languages, Linguistics, and Literature (LLL).
