The BCT is a standard test for non-native Chinese speaker to measure their Chinese proficiency in business activities. BCT is for anyone who is not a native Chinese speaker. It does not matter if you are a new learner or in good command of Chinese. In this test, age, educational background and how long have you learned Chinese are not restricting factors.

About the Test
BCT is made up of 2 separate tests: BCT (Listening, Reading) and BCT (Speaking, Writing). Examination candidates may take one of the tests or both tests together. The BCT comprises five levels to define the business Chinese proficiency of the examination candidates. Scores are valid for two years, starting from the test date.
Uses
- For employers who are recruiting, selecting and promoting: scores can help determine language competency levels.
- For schools and training organizations: as a reference when enrolling new students and separating classes, etc.
- For Chinese learners: to assess how you are faring in your studies and make improvements.
- For job-seekers: show evidence of language competency.
- To demonstrate the effectiveness of schools or training programs.
- All examination candidates are eligible to apply and take part in the Chinese Test Summer/Winter Camp
- Examination candidates with high scores may be awarded with Chinese Test Scholarship
