Chinese Ethnic Nationalities
Founded in Fall 2003 under the Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, the program provides a forum for scholarship and knowledge dissemination concerning Chinese ethnic peoples. To further promote its mission, the program has established agreements of cooperation with Central University for Nationalities and Yunnan University, two top universities in China for research on Chinese ethnic minorities.

Print Directories

Directory of China Specialists in North America
The Center is collaborating with the PRC National Commission for Classics Editing and Research by Institutions of Higher Education, housed in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Peking University, to prepare camera-ready copy of a directory of Sinologists in colleges and universities in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Legacy Project
With generous funding from the Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation, the Center is compiling an annotated directory of the 150+ Chinese societies in Hawaii. The project is being supported by the Organization of Chinese Americans and the United Chinese Society. The target publication date is late in 2004.
